We Game and We Have Fun too!
11th November 2006 was the date set for a planned Cycling cum BBQ at East Coast with a group of students (visiting the CWC). With Chriz as their mentor, they waited with great anticipation for the day to come. But alas, the day was peppered with obstacles and challenges! Some boys had to participate in a DOTA tournament and worse, the nightmarish manifestations of all nightmares for an outdoor activity - A thunderstorm! The rain poured down with such gutso that many parts of the island were flooded.
Plan B is definitely needed as the rain is not going to stop anytime soon. So Chriz, though feeling defeated by the forces of nature, decided to go ahead with the plan. He brought all of them to play pool! They spent a couple of hours playing pool, getting to know one another and some even played it for the first time in their life. It was an enjoyable time where the spirits were not doused by the thunder and lightning in the open. It was high in the enclosed safety zone of the pool place. And a miracle happened! The rain stopped in time for them to have a BBQ in the outdoor in the evening!
So eventually, amid all the challenges and difficulties, they all had a great time of fun together! More to come!
